Blue Ridge Bird Seed Company is a part of the Chamber's Commitment to Conservation Program. They offer monthly bird walks which helps to educate on migration patterns as well as participate in the Christmas Bird Count which helps to identify and record bird species to help monitor and report on winter bird populations and health. All of their seed products are packaged in recyclable bags or cardboard products. They actively participate in wildlife and habitat preservation by maintaining flower troughs downtown as well as working with teachers at West Fannin Elementary School to help curate their grounds using vegetation, houses, bird baths and feeders for their birding program for their kindergarten classes.
