The Blue Ridge Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest offers a variety of opportunities for outdoor recreation, including 6 campground/recreation areas. Local parks and recreation areas include Tammen Park in Blue Ridge and Horseshoe Bend Park in McCaysville, both located on the Toccoa River. Tammen Park, below the Lake Blue Ridge Dam, is a favorite fishing hole for trout fishermen. Horseshoe Bend is popular for fishing, tubing, kayaking, picknicking and playing.
