Blue Ridge Adventure Race

When & Where
On May 3-4, 2025 at the Downtown Pavilion, located at 900 E. Main St. in Downtown Blue Ridge, the adventure spans a duration of 8 and 24 hours - 2 options this year for the ultimate challenge in the great outdoors! Race day begins with check-in opening at 7:00 am for the 24-hour race and 7:30 am for the 8-hour race. Participants will receive instructions and a pre-plotted map, followed by a pre-race meeting at 8:15 am. Both races kick off promptly at 9:00 am.

Adventure Race Map
Teams will be given pre-plotted maps and instructions before every race. The map will include the locations of the transition areas and checkpoints. For a sample map and instructions, visit the Adventure Race website here.
Race Day Experiences
Race day is an exhilarating challenge, brimming with activities that promise to test the limits of every outdoor enthusiast.
- Hiking and Trail Running – Run along dirt and paved trails and hike off trail to uncover checkpoints.
- Mountain Biking – Pedal along paved roads, gravel trails, and winding single track routes.
- Paddling – As you search for checkpoints, use canoes and solo kayaks to cross the Toccoa River.
- Dinner & Awards – At the end of the race a dinner will be provided for all participants. During the dinner awards will be distributed for each division.
As you explore the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains, bike through winding trails, and paddle across scenic waters, it's important to stay fueled and hydrated. There will be snacks and water available at checkpoints along the way.
What to Bring
Although food and drinks will be served at every TA, it's recommended to also bring water purification tablets. Prepare for the race by reviewing the gear list on the official website of the Adventure Race. Essential gear includes a backpack, compass, first aid kit, and whistle. It's also suggested to wear appropriate layers for your activities. However, equipment and layering may vary depending on your selection of races.
